How do I quote a reel word for word?
Get the reel's words with Reelread, find the line and check it against the reel before you use it.
- Open the reel in Chrome on your computer, click the Reelread icon and press Transcribe.
- Find the line in the transcript, then check it against the reel: back 5 seconds in the side panel replays it.
- Copy it, and credit the person who said it with a link to the reel.

What can't it do?
It can mishear names, slang and mixed languages, so check a quote against the reel before you publish it. Words that only appear on the screen aren't in the transcript.
Questions
Can I quote someone else's reel?
Quote the line you need, name the person and link the reel. Don't post their whole script as your own.
Can I see when each line was said?
With Reelread Complete, $11 once, download SRT subtitles: each line comes with its time in the reel.
Does it work on TikTok, YouTube Shorts and X?
Yes. See TikTok transcripts and YouTube Shorts, Facebook and X.
Is the reel uploaded anywhere?
No. The speech becomes text on your computer, and nothing is sent anywhere unless you press Send to AI. See what it can see, in plain words.
Is it free?
Yes: unlimited transcripts for your first 5 days, then 7 a day, with translation and TXT and Markdown downloads. Reelread Complete, $11 paid once, removes the limit and adds SRT subtitles. See pricing.
